TTACx 2023 - Presenter Information
General Information
TTACx is a professional development opportunity that will bring together outstanding educators from all over southwest Virginia to reflect communally on challenges, exchange ideas, and seek inspiration from the people who know the students of SWVA the best - other educators. Modeled after TEDx to "uncover new ideas and to share the latest research in local areas that spark conversations in communities," TTACx will share a series of presentations by local, outstanding educators who have a practice, strategy, or method they've found to be highly effective within their classrooms. Presenters and participants will engage in round table discussions to think more deeply about presented ideas and challenges. Each session will close with time for educators to strategize and plan the implementation of a potential solution as well as collaborate, commune, and recharge with colleagues.
The Radford and Virginia Tech Training and Technical Assistance Centers (TTAC) invite K-12 teachers in superintendent regions 6 and 7 to submit a presentation proposal for the 2023 TTACx Symposium to be held March 22nd at the Wytheville Meeting Center in Wytheville, VA. Presentations will be conducted in person and shared digitally on the conference’s website following the symposium. Presentations will be 20 minutes in length, with an additional five minutes for questions. A $200 compensation will be offered to presenters for the creation of materials (practice/strategy write-up, presentation recording, and supplemental materials - details below) to be posted on the TTACx website. Presentation proposals will be accepted until 5pm on Friday, January 27, 2023. Selected presenters will be notified via email by Friday, February 10, 2023.
